Our modern life increasingly demands that we stay over-connected to artificial or physical networks that literally pull our energy and our humanity away.⚡️❌️❗️
Let me explain:
– Our mobiles connect us to almost everyone on the planet, but we have never been more isolated even next to each other “sharing” a meal… We text others while we ignore our plates and the people around. We laugh at social medias while we miss quips with our table friends and barely taste the beautiful dishes dressed in front of us.
– We rush through life trying to be the most competitive, the best, the busiest, the most beautiful, the most…, etc… While our own personality and perceptions slowly disappear, we drown in stress and barely recognise our true self.
– We are a rushing exhausted lot, running and yet tired, wanting it all and yet missing out on many things or special moments…🔆🫣
Reflections:
As I started being an independent guide and observing these effects around me (and even on myself), I searched for a way to incorporate means to increase the well-being of my guests during their short time with me.
While they experience the beauties of the Cameron Highlands, my goals are that they have a good time and they they leave feeling completely relaxed (always); but also that they bring something unique with them that they can repeat at home…🤔❔️
So I learned…:
In my life journey, basic yoga and Nature were my best therapies. I discovered qigong along the way and last year the terms “Nature Therapy” and “Shirin Yoku”. Deciding they were a perfect fit for something new, I enthusiastically enrolled for a “Forest Therapy Guide” certification course and happily passed. 🌳🎓📜
The benefits:🌿
Slow deep breathing + opening of the chest helps in correlation:
– Opening the lungs to better oxygenate the body,
– Improving blood circulation and cleaning mind fog,
– Enhancing concentration and memorisation,
– Giving more physical and mental energy.
This, combined with the healing power of plants, makes you feel better and stronger almost immediately:
Aside from oxygen, plants constantly emit natural compounds called terpenes or fonticides.
These molecules promote our natural environments’ growth and balance in general.
They fight over-fungification, viruses, strengthen the natural protection of ecosystems and play even a part in the forest “communication systems”.
Those benefits, while moving slowly and with mindfulness in nature, regulates the heart & breathing rates while enhancing the 5 senses, develops the body natural killer cells who fight sickness. This positive effects can last up to 1 week or more after just 20 minutes of a session outside.😃
Wanna know how?
Actually, it is quite easy. Let me show you …
